An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced registered nurse to lead the nursing team as the Senior Charge Nurse within Ward 52 Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy. Ward 52 is a fast-paced busy acute upper GI General Surgical Ward, comprising of 24 beds. We predominantly provide care to emergency admission patients from the receiving ward with a wide range of surgical, upper GI presentations and stepdown patients from the surgical dependency unit.

​​​​​​​You must be able to demonstrate an ability and passion to deliver high standards of safe, effective and person centred care, which focuses on enhancing the patient’s experience and you must be able to work efficiently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.  

You are required to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and lead a nursing team with passion. You will be accountable for delivering on service provision, redesign and improvement to provide safe, effective, person centred care.
You will have professional and managerial responsibility for the nursing service on a 24 hour basis within Ward 52 at the Victoria Hospital and have overall responsibility for both clinical and staff governance issues.

You must be proactive and be able to demonstrate an ability to implement and manage change through effective leadership and evidence the ability to manage and develop the performance of a team.
