We have an exciting opportunity for someone to further their career within the NHS as a Corporate Risk Manager at our Headquarters at Kirklands.

The post holder will provide specialist expert direction and advice to senior management within NHS Lanarkshire and its operating divisions to ensure that systems are in place and implemented within all services to assist them in fulfilling their responsibilities in relation to risk minimisation and control. The post holder should be able to provide evidence of a proven track record in Risk Management along with specialist knowledge of Risk and Assurance including a clear understanding of relevant legislation, professional standards and knowledge of Risk Management systems in a health setting. They should be educated to a Degree level, or equivalent, preferably with a qualification in governance and risk.

Effective communications lie at the heart of the job, which involves sustained and extensive collaboration with Directors on the establishment of support to maintain Divisional / Committee risk management systems. It is frequently necessary to gain understanding and acceptance of line management responsibility for risk through the use of advocacy skills.
