We have permanent vacancies that have become available for experienced Registered Nurses, to have the opportunity to develop & enhance their clinical knowledge & skills, working with the hard-working but rewarding Community Mental Health Team based at the Buchanan Centre, Coatbridge.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the application of the Framework of the Nursing Process to deliver high standards of client/patient nursing care for patients with a range of mental disorders, substance misuse, learning disabilities, or co-morbidity, under the clinical supervision of the caseload holder/charge nurse/team leader, senior charge nurse or practitioner. The registered nurse has delegated responsibility for the appraisal and clinical supervision of students and clinical/healthcare support workers in the provision of care and treatment within a defined clinical service, under the management and leadership of the team leader/senior charge nurse or practitioner Acting as Named Nurse (or equivalent), responsible for the application of the framework of the Nursing Process to ensure a high standard of client/patient care, delegated by the charge nurse/team leader, senior charge nurse or practitioner who provides clinical supervision to the post holder and retains overall responsibility for patient care. Co-ordinating and supervising a small team of junior nurses or practitioners, students, and clinical support workers in delivering care. Where required, will undertake a delegated range of duties of the charge nurse, team leader/senior charge nurse, or practitioner in their absence, including taking charge of the clinical area. The above duties and responsibilities are intended to represent current priorities and are not meant to be a conclusive list. The post holder may from time to time be asked to undertake other reasonable duties. Any changes will be made in discussion with the post holder in light of service needs.
The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse with a valid UK NMC Registration and will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own their own initiative. Possess effective listening, communication, and interpersonal skills. The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, excellent time management skills and working knowledge of basic information technology
