In line with Scottish Government Health and Social Care Directorates directive, National Services Division (NSD) is establishing a Scottish Strategic Network for Genomics Medicine.

The post: 
These are key strategic roles in promoting and driving forward the design and delivery of a national strategy for genomic services in Scotland.
The successful candidate for this Lead Clinician post (somatic cancer) will be a specialist in a somatic cancer related medical discipline with significant experience in the field of genomics. They will have a proven record in clinical leadership and in the successful delivery of change programmes across professional, organisational and geographical boundaries. 
The Lead Clinicians will work closely with each other and with colleagues from NSD, including the lead Consultant Clinical Scientist and the newly appointed NSD Genomics Transformation Team, Scottish Government, clinicians across Scotland and other key stakeholders.  

The candidate:
Applicants must have a current substantive role as an NHS Scotland employee and have the support of their Clinical Director for this post to be incorporated into their job plan. 
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme/Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who have lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
Candidates must have current NMC/GMC/GDC/HCPC registration at the time of applying.
