Post DCT fellowship

NHS Tayside has a vacancy for a full time Locum Dental Core Trainee (until 5/9/23. This post is based within NHS Tayside with the time being based in Dundee Dental Hospital and School.

This Post Dental Core Training fellow post will provide an opportunity to be involved in an innovative workstream in Dundee Dental Research Hospital & School.

The post holder will be involved in supporting the implementation of recommendations for sustainability in the Scottish Dental Clinical Effectiveness Programme (SDCEP) guidance and related quality improvement activities.  Also, the design and development of the sustainability strategy and ambitions of the Research Dental Hospital & School.

The post will be linked to one of the dental specialties to ensure the postholder remains in contact with clinical dentistry.  The speciality will be decided in discussion with the preferred candidate and the clinical time commitment will be between 2 and 4 (4hours each) sessions.

Applicants should note that this post gives access to training/educational events, a study budget and the opportunity to complete supervised learning events.  However, the postholder will not be subject to the review of competence progression (RCP) process and the post cannot be considered as a formal Dental Core Training post for future career progression.

Hours of work are: 40 hours per week.
