Salaried General Practitioner / Adult Medical Advisor

Applications are welcome for the above Permanent part time (7 hours per week) post.
We are looking for an enthusiastic medical professional to support adult applicants from City of Edinburgh, West Lothian, Mid Lothian & East Lothian for Adoption, Fostering, Kinship care including babysitters, adults in a ‘caring’ household.
The successful candidate should be fully registered, with experience of working independently and of working in this area.
You will work remotely and be provided with access to a Laptop and Phone. You will work closely with Business Support, Social Workers, GPs, and Secondary Care focused on providing assurance that applicants are medically fit to undertake their roles. There is a well-established process in place with support from Adoption and Fostering Association Medical Advisors group.
You will be expected to complete 70- 100 medical reports per month which will range from
- AHR full medicals
- AH2 review medicals
- Detailed Medical information forms for kinship carers
- Simple medical information forms for babysitters, adults in household etc
