North Glen Medical Practice is seeking to recruit an Advanced Nurse Practitioner / Advanced Paramedic Practitioner / Emergency Care Practitioner
for 30 hours per week to work as part of our exceptional multidisciplinary team. Working days are negotiable. Our current nursing team consists of 1 x
Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Nursing Manager, 2 x Nurse Practitioners, 1 x Practice Nurse, 1 x Treatment room nurse and 2 x Healthcare Assistants. We are also supported under the GMS Contract, Community Treatment and Care by NHS Fife Phlebotomists. We have excellent support from our mental health triage nurse, CBT therapist and first contact physiotherapist.
North Glen is a 4 GP partner practice serving 8500 patients across Glenrothes using EMIS/Docman as our clinical systems. We are a close knit and friendly, welcoming team. We have an exceptional and supportive nursing and admin team and are a ScotGEM training practice.
The practice is situated in the North of Glenrothes and is within easy commute from all areas of Fife, Perth, Dundee and Edinburgh.
Our ideal candidate will be an experienced NMC registered nurse / APP / ECP educated to Advanced Practice and/or Masters in Advanced Practice level. Paramedics should be a registered Paramedic with a relevant degree, educated to BSc, Level 6 degree module in minor illness/injury assessment, diagnosis and management post graduate Cert or Diploma level.
The post holder will provide support to the GPs. This will include telephone triage, prescribing and clinical assessment. The post holder will be responsible for seeing patients both within the practice and visiting clinically appropriate patients in their place of residence, who may present with a wide range of illness, including urgent and same day requests for treatment.
Acting within their professional boundaries, the post holder will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision making and expert care as an experienced autonomous
practitioner.
Previous experience within a Primary Care setting is essential and applicantsshould be a registered non medical prescriber.
