Change and Development Manager

Salary: range £61,325 - £66,018 per annum (pending 22/23 pay award)
Role:    Fixed Term for 2 years
Location: Paisley – with potential requirement to travel across Scotland

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is the largest NHS Board in Scotland. We provide strategic leadership and performance management for the entire local NHS system in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area ensuring that services are delivered effectively and efficiently.

This role, hosted by NHSGGC, offers a unique and rewarding career opportunity within one of the biggest Digital & eHealth teams in NHS Scotland.  The eHealth Directorate employs 1,600 staff who deliver large-scale operational IT/eHealth services, Information Management, Health Records services, Information Governance and, Innovation and Digital Transformation programmes.
It is an exciting development prospect for an experienced Change and Development Manager to join the Board’s eHealth Strategy & Programmes Team.  Working in close collaboration with the Strategic Development Programmes Manager, you will work with eHealth Managers and Teams, clinicians and service leads across NHS Scotland to deliver the change required to support the Laboratory digital service transformation programme.

The LIMS Programme and Role
NHS Scotland is working towards a common digital systems approach, with this role leading the migration from the current systems to implementation of the new digital system for laboratories.   This involves delivering the standardisation of various aspects of the Laboratories Information Management System (LIMS) functionality for all of the participating Boards across all laboratory disciplines. 
This is a key post required to lead change to support the significant implementation programme across a consortium of Boards in NHS Scotland the scale of which is a new LIMS system with over 80 clinical laboratory sites delivering approximately 84 million patient laboratory tests per year. The laboratory digital systems support all clinical laboratory workflows, from electronic receipt of test requests, processing of samples, integration with robotic and automated test processes and systems, quality management, and results reporting to hospital, community and GP services.
The role will be responsible for leading the changes and developments needed to support the delivery of this complex Programme of work including supplier and staff engagement.  This will require significant previous experience of change management roles within the NHS or similarly large/complex organisation(s).
