Yearly Salary £87,534 - £116,313 pro rata

The Deputy Medical Director position provides professional leadership and facilitates partnership working across community services spanning community health and care, mental health and primary care. The successful candidate will be able to evidence excellent communication skills and a commitment to working with communities to achieve the best outcomes for our population.

You would be responsible for developing and enabling the delivery of the overall clinical vision, strategy, clinical quality and clinical governance by providing professional leadership in relation to redesign of the delivery of services and Board Objectives.

You would be working within a new senior leadership team to ensure the successful delivery of financial, operational, quality and safety targets and for leading, managing and developing the community services workforce across NHS Highland.

This role requires you to be a visible and credible leader in providing support for Clinical Directors and clinical leads, medical colleagues in primary care, community hospital and mental health services, and relevant professional colleagues in optometry and dental services.

You will be clinically qualified and appropriately registered with evidence of relevant CCT with experience of working in a community health setting.

Interested applicants should ideally have experience as a Clinical Director or Associate Medical Director and will be looking for a development opportunity, working at a senior level within an NHS Health Board.
