Facilities Manager
Salary £30,000-35,000
20 hours per week
Ardgowan Hospice is looking to recruit a Facilities Manager who wants to make a positive contribution to patient care as part of a vibrant, friendly team.
Reporting to the Director of Care the post holder will be responsible for all hospice Facilities including Housekeeping, Catering and Maintenance Services.
The candidate will provide direct leadership for Staff / Volunteers within the Facilities Departments, managing the resources required to meet Service needs within each department and ensuring compliance with Statutory Standards, Regulatory requirements and Recognised Safe Practice.
We require applicants to have the following experience/qualifications:
- A management certificate
- Knowledge and experience of Health and Safety legislation, Risk management, COSHH regulations (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) systems
- Knowledge of Fire Safety regulation
- Ability to problem solve and demonstrate flexibility
- Evidence of personal and professional development
- Two Years’ experience in a relevant Management Role is preferred but not essential
