The Registered Nurse will support the community nursing service in the delivery of the highest quality of health care and will be responsible and accountable for providing skilled nursing interventions as appropriate. ensure a person-centered approach to care delivery that is safe and effective in ensuring and maintaining quality strategy. Provide an accessible, appropriate, high-quality, and effective care service to all age groups in the community, by working in partnership with patients, care providers, and other agencies.
The Registered Nurse will be required to demonstrate competence and carry out the following treatment room duties
Administration of Injectable Contraceptives, Advise and Health Promotion including FAST / ABI, Care of Central Venous Access Devices, Claudication – assistance, and conducting (following training). Ear irrigation, First Aid, Hormonal implants such as Goserelin, Injections eg Hydroxocobalamin Pneumococcal, Hepatitis BInstillation of eye drops and ointmentsLeg ulcer Assessment and Management including Doppler testing, Minor Surgery Assistance, Modified Glucose Tolerance test, Opportunistic Seasonal Flu Vaccination, Pregnancy testing, Specimen collection such as wound, urine, Suture and staple removal, Urinalysis, Venepuncture, and Wound Management and dressings
The successful candidate will Registered Nurse with valid UK NMC Registration, required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using their own initiative. Demonstrate effective listening, communication, and interpersonal skills. The ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team excellent time management skills Working knowledge of basic information technology. A car driver, with a full valid UK driving licence would be desirable.
