An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Forensic Rehabilitation of Royal Cornhill Hospital for an enthusiastic registered mental health nurse who is keen to enhance/develop their management and clinical skills in this specialist environment.
The post holder will contribute to providing high quality evidence-based care and support to clients who experience a diverse range of mental health issues within Forensic Services while supporting the senior charge nurse and staff with the management aspects of the role. The post holder will, provide care through a progressive patient focused approach, within a therapeutic environment and underpinned by risk assessment and management that will maximise the individual’s potential.
As a manager you will contribute to the transformation of the service and encourage the development of the staff team to the provision of high level care in a low secure setting.
As a pivotal member of the team you should possess good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), have a good understanding of current drivers and legislation. Forensic Rehabilitation is a dynamic environment and the ideal candidate should be motivated work as a member of the team supporting a positive and therapeutic culture focused on the needs of the patient group.
The duties of this post require the successful candidate to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
