The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic data and advanced analytics professional, with 5+ years’ experience in a senior technical role, to join our team as a Senior Consultant in the role of technical lead in the delivery of our data and analytical products. This is a critical role in supporting the strategic direction for better use of data to support service delivery and outcomes across Scotland.
Key responsibilities include
- Technical Analysis & Solutions architecture
- Making key design and engineering decisions
- Providing expert advice and guidance to technical delivery teams
- Ensuring quality of developments, and smooth transition to BAU
- Ownership of design and development processes and standards
- Pro-actively contributing to technical strategy and service improvement
- Stakeholder and user engagement
- Assessing, scoping and estimating demand
What you will bring to our team
- Proven experience in the business intelligence and data domain
- Thorough knowledge and experience of Data Solutions Architecture
- Thorough knowledge of building data products (incl. ETL)
- Leadership experience
- Strong and effective communication skills
- Stakeholder engagement and management skills
- Attention to detail
- Passion to make a difference
- Desire to excel within a high performing team
- Appetite for lifelong learning and growth
- Ability to constructively challenge to confidently contribute to overall success of the service

Location and working pattern
Edinburgh/Glasgow
Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours - hybrid working options available
