We are looking to recruit a Corporate Risk Manager for this new role within NHS Highland.  It is an exciting opportunity to be the lead specialist on corporate risk across our organisation.  This post will work in close partnership with sector colleagues across the organisation as well as partners across the North. The post-holder will, through a combination of training, exercising, assurance and advisory processes, enable NHS Highland to development a risk management approach that is adopted throughout the organisation.

This includes the development and maintenance of arrangements to ensure appropriate escalation so that NHS Highland can meet essential health care needs when normal services become overloaded, restricted or non-operational.

The post holder will bring significant specialist risk management expertise, discipline and be the lead specialist for Risk Management in NHS Highland; providing highly specialist advice to the organisation and ensuring legislation and national standards are anticipated and met to provide safe, effective and high quality services and environments.  To act as an exemplar role model and be considered expert in this field.

The post holder will be under the day to day line management of the Head of Strategy & Transformation and will also work closely with the Medical Director with regards to clinical risk.  Although the post holder will have no direct line management the post holder will have a training budget associated with the role for wider corporate responsibilities.
