Catering Manager, Royal Cornhill, Maternity and Woodend Hospitals
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced person to further their career by managing within the Catering Department at Royal Cornhill Hospital which provides a bulk catering service to multiple other healthcare premises within Aberdeen City and staff nurseries.
The post holder will assist in delivering a high quality, nutritious and cost effective food service for patients, which meet the requirements of the National Catering and Nutrition specification for food and fluid provision in hospitals in Scotland, Food in Hospitals.
We require an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated person with a proven track record of management preferably within a large scale catering operation. The successful candidate will need to be a team player with good organisational abilities, good communication skills and be able to prioritise your own workload.
The candidate will be required to liaise with ward and departmental staff as well as external bodies in order to successfully co-ordinate the patient catering production services across multiple sites.
The post requires a degree level qualification preferably in a Hotel, Facilities or Catering related discipline or equivalent. Experience in a Hotel, Facilities or Catering discipline at an Assistant management level is essential. Previous large scale catering experience and cook chill experience is desirable. A Car driving license is essential for this post.
The candidate would be required to take part in the departments out of hours On-Call duty which is currently on a one week out of five basis. An additional On-call allowance is paid.
