NHS Borders are delighted to be inviting applicants to join our Mental Health Service at Band 6 Mental Health Nurse level. The Mental Health Older Adults Service is looking to recruit experienced registered mental health nurses to the Central and West based community team. We would consider nurses at both band 5 and band 6 grade with the successful candidate completing identified learning objectives as required.


The nurse will work as a member of a multidisciplinary team responsible for the assessment diagnosis and treatment of older adults with functional and organic mental health illness working with other statutory providers and third party sector care providers.

The nurse will also be responsible for the supervision of junior staff and students within the clinical setting and cover for the band 7 Team Manager when required.
