A vacancy has arisen within the Glasgow Psychological Trauma Service, for a Consultant Clinical/ Counselling Psychologist (fixed term until March 2025) to contribute to the senior clinical leadership within the service, and to provide clinical expertise in delivering and supervising therapies for Complex Trauma.
The postholder will provide a specialised psychology service to clients of the Glasgow Psychological Trauma Service, and the systems and services
supporting them. The Consultant Psychologist will work therapeutically across the service populations including specialist and national contracts. The post holder is required to provide highly specialist psychological assessment, therapy and supervision, as well as offering advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other nonprofessional carers, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures, across all sectors of care. The post holder will utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the Trauma Service.
