The Golden Jubilee National Hospital is the home to the West of Scotland Regional Heart and Lung Centre and has an extensive Orthopaedic Surgery programme. The Pharmacy Department has an excellent record in staff development, supporting training courses including Foundation Pharmacist Training, MSc in Clinical Pharmacy, Non-Medical Prescribing courses, Final Accuracy Checking Technician Certificates (FACT) and Personal Development Awards (PDA) as well as SVQ’s in management. The pharmacy team are integral to the delivery of a number of medicine related clinical trials conducted within NHS Golden Jubilee.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Pharmacy Department as a Deputy Chief Pharmacy Technician, working within the clinical trials team and providing strategic leadership to the technician led dispensary service. Successful applicants will have a National Certificate in Pharmaceutical Sciences (level 3) or equivalent, be a registered pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council, have a NHC in pharmaceutical sciences, development and management or equivalent and have an accredited FACT qualification. It is essential that you are motivated, have good communication skills and are able to prioritise your workload.
