An opportunity has arisen for a permanent 1.0 wte Band 6 Physiotherapist position within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (GGC) based within the North East of Glasgow HSCP.
As an experienced Physiotherapist you will provide comprehensive specialised assessment, treatment and management to children and young people who have complex clinical conditions. This may include general developmental delay, disorder of movement, disability or illness which may be impaired, controlled or alleviated by physiotherapeutic skills and or the use of specialised equipment. You will have a clinical caseload and will ensure the delivery of safe, effective patient care for children and young people referred to our service.
There will be training and mentoring offered. It is essential that you have a Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy and that you are currently registered with the HCPC. You are expected to be working towards masters level post graduate qualifications. You should and to be competent in assessing a wide range of conditions based on sound theoretical knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology, often in situations where conflicting evidence is present. You will have relevant experience working with children and young people. Some community experience would be beneficial. Car driver essential.
