An opportunity has arisen for a motivated experienced nurse to join Community Treatment and Care Services within Glasgow City HSCP as a Team Lead Practice Development Nurse.
As part of the multi-disciplinary team, the overall purpose of this post is to support the Service Manager in developing, implementing, monitoring and maintaining high quality clinical nursing practice across CTAC Services.
The post holder will provide professional development of all treatment room nursing team members and community phlebotomy team members to deliver a high quality service in compliance with statutory responsibilities, professional guidelines and the policies and procedures of the organisation.
The post holder will function as an independent autonomous practitioner by virtue of in-depth knowledge, expertise, proficiency and experience and will lead and enable the team to provide a high quality service.
The post holder will work in collaboration with the Treatment Room Nurse Team Lead and the Phlebotomy Team Lead. The post holder will provide operational management cover in the absence of the other 2 Team Leads. This includes performance monitoring and review of the nursing and phlebotomy team. This role will encompass Band 6 Treatment Room Co-coordinators, Band 5 Staff Nurses and Band 2 and 3 Health Care Support Workers / Phlebotomists.
Applicants will be a first level adult registered nurse that can provide evidence of ongoing personal development.
The applicant must be able to provide evidence of excellent people management and leadership skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The working pattern for this post is Monday – Friday 8:30 – 4:30
