An exciting and innovative opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 to join the Specialist Childrens Services Team within Inverclyde HSCP. This post will sit with the Community Childrens Nursing Service and will support children and young people at home and within the Additional Support for Learning School. The successful candidate will become a key member of the Specialist Community Paediatric Team providing an effective service to Children and their families within the Skylark Centre, Community and Education settings. The post holder will be required to work alongside the Skylark Centre Multi-Disciplinary Team incorporating: Disability Nurses, Health for All Team, Medical Staff, Administration Staff, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy. They will also be required to work alongside colleagues within the acute sector and other statutory and voluntary agencies. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own caseload and others be skilled in assessing and reviewing children. They should possess excellent communication and team working skills as well as the ability to work using their own initiative. Effective time management is also essential for this role and a current Driving License is required. Further information regarding this post is detailed in the job description. Please note this post is 37.5hours per week and will be worked Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.
