NHS Grampian Radiology department are advertising for a NHS Locum IR Consultant post to strengthen our progressive team. The vacancy for Locum Interventional Radiologist Consultant is to support our growing IR Service


The post is an important investment for NHS Grampian as it will underpin and support a wide range of other specialities and major capital and revenue plans in NHS Grampian, for example National Treatment Centre and IR Theatre Suite with state of the art imaging equipment. Supporting career development is a key component of the leadership of the Radiology Department, as is a flexible working approach. As a Major Trauma Centre there are exciting developments reflected in a wide scope of work.


You will have opportunities to link to the national and regional transformation agendas and influence these strategic drivers. There are lots of opportunities for developing your skill set, both clinically and as a leader. As NHS Grampian is one of the largest teaching hospitals in Scotland, there are strong links to Aberdeen University and teaching and encouraging our trainees is an integral part of your post. There are a wide range of opportunities for strengthening research and making links with academic institutions for collaborative working. You would be encouraged to support an existing outstanding and ongoing pedigree in imaging based research.
