Provide comprehensive and advanced / specialised assessment, treatment and management of children and young people who have highly complex clinical conditions disability or illness which may be controlled or alleviated by physiotherapeutic skills and/or the use of specialised equipment.
Use specialised knowledge and skills to continue to develop an equitable physiotherapy service across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
Educate and train carers, senior physiotherapists, other health care professionals, physiotherapy students, and external (public and voluntary) agencies in the physiotherapeutic management of children and young people
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING
• SRP, Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy.
• Health Professions Council (HPC) registration.
• PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development including attendance at recent Post-graduate course(s) relevant to the clinical field.
• Commitment to further clinical, professional and managerial development.
• Good presentation skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of the role of physiotherapy within current emerging health environment and national initiatives.
• Exceptional team-building and team working skills.
