An exciting fixed term opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to take responsibility for the day to day operational management of sterile services at Cowlairs Decontamination Unit, including all in-house and contractor provided services.  You will be responsible for ensuring effective and efficient services and that best value is achieved to support the delivery of clinical services within acute division, clinical venues and GP practices throughout Glasgow and Clyde.  You will be a full member of the IDS’c, which requires 3 years study in addition to extensive work experience equivalent to a postgraduate qualification or SVC/NVQ level 5, along with a proven track record within decontamination at middle management level, preferably within the NHS.  You will an excellent understanding of quality management systems and significant knowledge of Sterile Services and relevant legislation.    You will have excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
