This new post is an exciting opportunity to support Medicine and Medical Specialties with the scheduled care recovery programme as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The role will involve working closely with the General Manager and Director of Access to ensure that the out-patient service is delivered as efficiently and effectively.
You will have a lead role in ensuring that the Scottish Government’s Modernisation of Out-patient Services Agenda is progressed and delivered, identifying and progressing alternative delivery models.
Working closely with Consultant specialty leads and you will agree service provision, development and deliver improvement within agreed access funded budgets.
You will also identify areas where access funding would result in reduced waiting times for patients, and taking the lead role in defining outcomes are ensuring that actions are achieved.
You will be expected to produce high level management reports to inform both the operational and medical management teams.
Applicants must have an excellent knowledge of Scottish Government waiting times legislation, interpretation and application.
Significant previous experience of managing NHS waiting lists, complex outpatient and inpatient scheduling experience is essential for this post.
