We are keen to attract a forward thinking and innovative Lead Advanced Practice Physiotherapist who can drive our Advanced Practice Orthopaedic outpatient Service to the next level. NHS Fife will be opening a brand new National Treatment Centre – Fife Orthopaedics in Jan 2023. At the heart of
this new Centre will be multidisciplinary team working and the development of new NMAHP roles and new ways of working. As an integral part of the Team, you will be supported to develop, contribute and innovate in delivering our new emergent Orthopaedic Strategy. A career plan will be discussed and mapped with you, which will explore opportunities across the four pillars of physiotherapy practice. You will have the chance to develop and progress your clinical skills and expand your personal and professsional practice boundaries in line with the Orthopaedic Service and Fife Physiotherapy Profession Strategies.
As an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist you will also input to our new AHP Research, Innovation and Knowledge Strategy. On-going research includes Advanced Communications, DENS and WHiTE orthopaedic trials involvement. In collaboration with our Physiotherapy Education Team, you will be able to enhance your pedagogical skills and lead on the clinical and cultural development of staff in Orthopaedic outpatients and the wider Musculoskeletal Service. With your leadership experience you will work with the Orthopaedic and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Services to develop the capacity to shape its future. You will share your own office space with the other members of the Advanced Practice Orthopaedic Team.
The new Centre in Kirkcaldy is within easy commutable distance from most parts of the East of Scotland region, with many of our staff travelling from Lothian, Perth and Tayside. Flexibility in working practices will be available for discussion. The job role is detailed in the person specification and Job description.
