A rare opportunity has arisen to join the senior Nursing/Midwifery team within the Acute Paediatric and Neonatal service in NHS Fife. 

The Paediatric and Neonatal service consists of an in-patient Children’s Ward with adjacent Acute Paediatric Assessment Area, Paediatric Ambulatory Care Unit, Paediatric Out-patients department and a Neonatal Intensive Care unit (LNU) all on the Victoria Hospital site. Additional Out-patient services are also provided from the Children and Young Person’s unit at the Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline. 
You will be an enthusiastic and motivated individual with excellent communication, prioritisation and problem-solving skills, able to work effectively within the multi-disciplinary team as well as independently on their own initiative. 

Your role will include senior Nursing leadership of the Paediatric and Neonatal Nursing teams , including responsibility for service quality and improvement, capacity and patient flow, workforce governance and development, patient safety and  clinical governance activity.

NMC registration as a Children’s Nurse/Midwife/General Nurse is essential for this role, as is significant experience of working at a senior level within an acute clinical Paediatric and/or Neonatal environment. Previous experience of working within a nursing managerial role would also be advantageous.
