Senior Social Work Practitioner

Salary Scale: HC10 £41,591 - £45,479 pro rata per annum
35 hours per week, Permanent
The Lochaber Integrated Health & Social Care Team has a vacancy for a Senior Practitioner/Social Worker. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified social worker to experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary service which supports adults living within a large remote and rural geographical area with the potential challenges this can present. The postholder will be required to undertake a range of tasks within the social care component of the integrated team, with a particular focus on adult support and protection and adults with Incapacity.
This post will be based in Fort William, and you will be required to provide services across the whole Lochaber area. A driving licence is essential and applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes , a pool car is also available. This post deputises for the Team Leader and provides specialist advice to the Team.
Applicants should be registered with the Scottish Social Services council on the ‘Social worker’ part of the register and also hold a qualification that is recognised by the SSSC as being equivalent to the Diploma in social work (DipSW).
