We have one Specialty Doctor in Emergency Medicine post available to start in August 2022 within the Emergency Department at The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. We are seeking a passionate, driven, talented doctor with experience in Emergency Medicine. This post presents an exciting opportunity to further develop skills in the exciting specialty of Emergency Medicine and to join our team in the West of Scotland Major Trauma Centre. ​​​​​​​

You will become part of the team in Scotlands largest and newest Emergency Department, driven to excel in Emergency and Trauma Care. We began operating as the West of Scotland Major Trauma Centre in August 2021 and our trauma care only goes from strength to strength. You will play a fundamental role in our team gaining experience in all aspects of emergency and critical care.

Since beginning our journey, the Emergency Department team of Scotlands showpiece hospital The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital have been evolving and developing an enviable research portfolio under our EMQUIRE umbrella, with a focus on Quality Improvement, Education and leading innovation projects.

The post will attract a basic payment of 12 programmed activities, 11 direct clinical care sessions and 1 supporting professional activities session. This can be discussed fully prior to and at time of interview. Prior experience of working within the NHS is desirable.
