Senior Project Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Strategic Planning as a Senior Project Manager.

The Best Start Strategy is a national 5 year strategy launched by the Scottish Government which sets out a vision for the future planning, design and safe delivery of high quality maternity and neonatal services in Scotland.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for designing and delivering a complex programme of work that will result in one of the largest modern-day redesigns of both maternity and neonatal services. This will include leading on detailed workforce and financial modelling, utilising risk management methodology when testing solutions, and working collaboratively with national colleagues.

The Senior Project Manager will work collaboratively to deliver a portfolio of projects with the senior leadership teams in NHS Lothian, other Health Boards and the Scottish Government, and as such this role offers an excellent opportunity to build an extensive network and knowledge of the healthcare landscape.

Applicants should be able to evidence their expertise in project management and quality improvement methodology along with the ability to work collaboratively with senior managers to drive change. Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills are essential, as are proven IT skills.  You will be a competent problem solver have the ability to adapt to changing requirements.
