This is a full-time permanent post. Shift pattern: 12 hour shifts 0900-2100 hours 7 days per week (no nightshift working).
As part of a multidisciplinary team the post holder will provide care to patients in support of the registered nurse/midwife. You will work on an ad hoc and flexible basis to meet the needs of the service. Carry out direct patient care in support of and supervised by the registered nurse/midwife. Assist the Bed Management & Demand & Capacity team in effective use of Discharge planning & Effective use of the discharge Lounge in order to optimise bed capacity at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and improving the patient journey.
To support the Bed /Demand & Capacity Manager and the day to day flow within the QEUH, through Divisional Policies, a safe environment for the treatment of patients and protection of staff.
Knowledge, Training and Experience required:
- No formal qualifications required
- Previous care experience desirable
- Effective written and verbal communication skills / literacy / numeracy skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends.
