Salary: Band 6 £33,072 (pro rata)
About NHS Lothian Charity
We are the official charity of NHS Lothian and the only charity that is dedicated to supporting all its work, all its people and all the families and individuals it cares for.
We work in strategic partnership to invest in research and innovation, enhance experiences and environments for patients and staff, and help to progress better health outcomes for people across Edinburgh, the Lothians and beyond.
Our support empowers NHS Lothian to do more beyond core delivery, creating opportunities, enabling innovation and transforming healthcare for all the communities it serves. Each project, fund, initiative and investment ultimately strengthens NHS Lothian’s ability to improve physical and mental health today, and in the future.
This is an exciting time to join our Charity with the launch our new brand and website and move forward with our ambitious plans for the future outlined in our new 5-year strategy.
About the role and you
We are looking for an experienced Trusts Officer who is passionate about fundraising to support our patients, their families, and our NHS Lothian colleagues.
You will be a skilled relationship manager who can work alongside our Funding Programmes team and NHS colleagues to identify fundable projects and to develop these into successful applications. With excellent communications skills you will have the ability to interpret complex and technical information into lay terms.
You will have a working knowledge of the Scottish funding landscape with the ability to undertake research and develop relationships with key funders. Your planning abilities will help you create funding pipelines and reporting timelines for restricted income.
We have several large capital appeals in on the horizon and your work to establish relationships with funders is a critical part of their success.
As an NHS Charity we have seen a significant growth in our awareness and supporter base over the last two years. We are at the beginning of our journey as a fundraising organisation and you will be excited about the opportunity to use your skills and experience to help further establish this role in the organisation.
Provisional interview date 29th of September 2022.
Please note, all candidates should contact and discuss their application with Alan Surgeon, AWS Recruitment alan@awscharityjobs.com prior to application.
