Job Advert
We are looking for Bank Band 2 Health Care Support Workers to join our imaging team - primarily working within the AAA screening programme.
Based anywhere in Argyll and Bute, and working across A&B, you will be supported by a small team of radiographers, sonographers, AAA Screeners, and by two Radiologists based in Oban.
Given the need for travel across A&B, you must be a car driver, willing to travel and on occasion willing to stay overnight at some A&B destinations (travel expenses, subsistence and accommodation costs will be covered).
The Radiology Department at Lorn and Islands Hospital provides a 24/7 service, undertakes CT, interventional, fluoroscopy, ultrasound examinations and AAA screening together with general radiography work including A+E work.
The 7 community hospitals serve the local populations and surrounding islands, and provide general radiography services to primary care and A/E during weekdays and out of hours, together with AAA screening on a weekly rotational basis by site.
We support and encourage CPD and role development and our ideal candidate would be someone who is forward thinking and committed to service improvement and who would welcome the opportunity to work innovatively, within a small dynamic team.
