A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic registered nurse to apply for a band 6 charge nurse post which has become available within the ophthalmology POA department at Gartnavel General Hospital. The successful candidate will be expected to work as part of the ophthalmology team and will have the responsibility of assessment, delivery, and supervision of all care needs within a Pre-Operative setting. You will be expected to lead the nursing team and coordinate the department as the deputy to the Senior Charge Nurse. You will provide clinical leadership for the assessment of patient's needs, implementation and evaluation of care which are evidence based. A high degree of clinical expertise will be evident with the ability to work to high quality clinical standards. You are required to be flexible, forward thinking, and able to work effectively within a changing and dynamic environment. You should possess excellent communication skills and sound decision making skills with evidence of ongoing professional development.
