This is an exciting new development to bring in the Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology role to the Renfrewshire CAMHS team. The post holder will be expected to provide supervision to lower grades of staff and to deliver group and individual interventions appropriate to their level of training in a Tier 3 CAMHS team. Renfrewshire CAMHS is a friendly team that has gone through significant changes over the past year with many new staff joining us. You will be joining a group of established clinical and applied psychologists. CAMHS is undergoing significant investment to better meet the needs of children and young people with moderate to severe mental health problems. It is an exciting time of innovation and change with lots of opportunities within CAMHS. We are looking for an enthusiastic CAAP to join with us on this innovative improvement journey. You will work alongside a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Principal Clinical Psychologists who will provide supervision and our team of Child and Adolescent Therapists and Assistant Psychologist. There are good opportunities for peer support.
The post holder must have an honours degree in psychology (eligible for GBR) and a postgraduate MSc in Applied Psychology (Healthcare) for Children and Young People.
You will join a group of over 100 psychologists working with children and young people in a variety of settings with good professional support and supervision, plus strong working relationships with other disciplines and agencies.
The service has strong links both with the University of Glasgow Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and the University of Edinburgh MSc Course in Applied Psychology for Children and Adolescents.
