Please note this is a part-time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
To provide comprehensive Administrative and Clerical support to clinical and non-clinical staff in order to ensure the smooth running of the service. To create purchase orders for pharmaceutical stock, process goods received onto the stock control system, process goods which require to be returned to suppliers and liaise with suppliers. To support the procurement process for new and specialised pharmaceuticals. To provide clerical and administrative support to the pharmacy.
Practical knowledge of office systems gained through SVQ III or equivalent.
Experience in working in an office/procurement environment
Experience and understanding of pharmaceutical terminology
Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages
Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
Working to tight timescales to ensure timely delivery of pharmaceutical products and responding to urgent requests for emergency medicines.
The candidate will participate in public holiday working.
The candidate must be flexible and willing to contribute to the general work of the pharmacy department.
