An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 2 Healthcare Support Worker to gain valuable experience in the Macmillan Cancer & Palliative Care service, based at Caithness General Hospital, Wick.
We require an enthusiastic, motivated individual to assist qualified staff within the Macmillan Cancer & Palliative Care team in the delivery of high standards of holistic care to patients with palliative care needs and those at end-of-life.
Some of the post holder’s main duties will be providing personal care, continence management, nutritional support, uncomplicated wound care & medication support as well as duties contributing to the safe & smooth running of the department.
This is a part-time post of 20 hours per week, working in accordance with service requirements and is fixed term until 31st December 2022, covering a secondment.
A full driving licence is essential for this post and a pool car may be available, however the success candidate should have access to their own vehicle for business use.
