NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s Psychological Trauma Service provides a board-wide specialist service to meet the needs of service users with
Complex PTSD, through consultation and support to wider services, and through the provision of individual and group therapies. We are a
multidisciplinary team and work frequently with asylum seekers, refugees, victims of trafficking and those who have experienced abuse in care. We are seeking to appoint a Mental Health Practitioner within the service.  The post holder will provide assessment and evidence–based psychological
therapy in a group and individual format to service users from across the Board Area presenting with mental health needs consistent with PTSD,
complex PTSD, anxiety and mood disorders, and liaise with wider services on clients’ care. You will be working autonomously within professional
guidelines and the overall framework of service policies and procedures.  The post holder will receive clinical supervision by a team Psychological
Therapist and work closely with the wider MDT; you will also have the opportunity to contribute to service development.  Candidates will have relevant professional training to degree level or equivalent in a core profession which includes basic psychotherapy training (e.g. Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Work, Occupational Therapy). Candidates will be registered with a relevant professional regulatory body e.g. NMC or HCPC. Essential training includes a Postgraduate certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from BABCP accredited course. Applications may also be considered from applicants who hold post graduate CBT certificate from courses which were not accredited at the time, but have since gained BABCP accreditation.  Experience of working with vulnerable populations, therapeutic group work, and or working in an NHS mental health setting with
