An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join the dynamic, forward thinking Regional Cancer Team to act as the first point of contact for the Network, which is responsible for driving improvements in the delivery of cancer care across the region.
This post is pivotal within the West of Scotland Cancer Network, based in Glasgow Royal Infirmary, providing comprehensive administrative and project support to regional workstreams and the Managed Clinical Networks (MCN) for Cancer. This post primarily facilitates the workings of the Cancer Network by ensuring the services of the Network Administrator are flexible, accessible, efficient and effective to support delivery of our objectives. Duties will span, for example, the organisation of education events; providing secretariat for regional meetings and following up actions; compiling reports; and maintaining databases and our website.
This postholder will work closely with Network Managers and Clinical Leads and a key skill will be the ability to communicate in a clear and timely manner with a variety of colleagues, both clinical and non-clinical
Applicants should have administration or project experience, and an understanding of medical terminology and jargon would be beneficial. The role will function within a flexible hybrid (home/office based) working model designed to meet the needs of the Network.
