Principal Clinical/Counselling Psychologist-NHS GG&C Psychological Therapies Groups Service

A 0.5WTE permanent vacancy for a Band 8A Principal Psychologist has arisen within the board-wide Psychological Therapies Groups Service. This service delivers evidence-based, psychological therapy group programmes to individuals who are receiving a service from secondary care adult mental health teams across NHS GG&C (Community Mental Health Teams). You’ll work within a team of psychological therapists, assistant psychologists and admin staff, to deliver high quality, psychological therapies group programmes, and contribute to the ongoing development of the service; service evaluation and dissemination of outcomes; the clinical supervision of the psychological therapists and assistant psychologists within the team, and provide supervised placements to trainees enrolled in the doctorate in clinical psychology programme at University of Glasgow. You’ll hold a Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, be an HCPC registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, and have experience in adult mental health. You’ll have completed formal training in Clinical Supervision. You’ll be supervised by the Consultant Clinical Psychologist/Team Lead and join the large and dynamic South Glasgow psychology department, and have access to a range of professional development and CPD opportunities. Additional sessions may be available within this service, or in other adult mental health teams.
