DND Business and Administration Manager
(Band 7 – Substantive)
An exciting and dynamic position has become available at the Deputy Nurse Director for Corporate & Community Services’ office within the Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professions (NMAHP) Directorate.
The purpose of the post will be the management of the work of the Deputy Nurse Director for Corporate & Community Services’ (DND C&C) office and will provide a comprehensive Business Management and Service Development support to the senior NMAHP team.
As a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) you will contribute to the achievement of the business performance objectives, leading on financial management, reporting, workforce performance management, and staff governance.
You will
- lead discussions with SMT colleagues and will be responsible for the development and monitoring of comprehensive Directorate plans to ensure that performance targets are achieved e.g. annual Cost Releasing Efficiency Savings (CRES), and iMatter.
- provide operational support to the DND C&C and will lead on the delivery of projects associated with the work of interpreting, developing and implementing policies, plans and guidance for the delivery of key national and local priorities, coordinating and taking forward training and development as necessary.
- develop and implement effective systems and processes, including the development and maintenance of databases, for the recording and monitoring of performance against local and national targets (e.g. NMC Fitness to Practice, iMatter).
- establish effective communication processes and act as liaison between the Deputy Nurse Director for Corporate and Community Services’ office and other parties internal and external to the organisation.
- require direct line management experience to manage the administrative team within the NMAHP Directorate, including within the Care Home Collaborative (CHC) to ensure the provision of a high level of business administrative support to senior staff and direct reports through the development of staff and the establishment, and management and maintenance of office systems and procedures, including information and reporting systems.
- be a credible leader with a track record of business administration accountability, coming from a solid base of knowledge backed by experience.
A critical thinker, you will have the knowledge, skills and experience to successfully navigate highly complex issues always with the goal of achieving the best possible quality of service delivery within the NMAHP Directorate
