An opportunity has arisen at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for a senior registered nurse who is keen to enhance and develop their management and clinical skills in a Charge Nurse position.
The candidate should have a commitment to acute medicine, patient centred care and supporting effective team working. The post holder will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, supporting the Senior Charge Nurse and the current Charge Nurse team in driving forward change within Ward 53. The post holder will be expected to ensure safe and effective care that enhances the patient experience and contributes to the delivery of the organisation's objectives. The post holder must have post registration experience within an acute clinical setting and be able to demonstrate leadership knowledge and awareness. They must understand the complexities of caring for individuals with acute and chronic medical illnesses.
Ward 53 consists of 24 inpatient beds. Specialising in Diabetes and Endocrine Disorders. We are also currently in the early stages of introducing a dedicated selection of beds for Palliative Care Patients. As a Charge Nurse you will be expected to have an overview of the ward and support with capacity and flow ensuring timely access to the ward.
