Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist (15 hours per week) Permanent

Salary Scale: £33,072- £40,736 Per Annum Pro Rata

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an occupational therapist with experience of working in mental health and/or physical health to work in our South East Edinburgh Substance Misuse Team. This post is managed and supervised through the Mental Health and Substance Misuse Service of NHS Lothian.  The post holder works within a multi-disciplinary/ multi-agency team, providing a service to people with a primary diagnosis of addiction many of whom also experience additional complex health conditions.  You will contribute to the assessment and treatment of individuals referred to the team, focussing on the occupational, functional and cognitive needs of this client group, including environmental assessment and equipment provision.

The post holder will have a keen interest in both the speciality of substance misuse and the delivery of evidence based Occupational Therapy.  The service is committed to staff development and student education.
