You will provide direct clinical care, which encompasses occupational therapy assessment, treatment and management of people within the community rehabilitation and enablement service in Renfrewshire. This will provide support to people being discharged from hospital care and support avoidance of admission for people in their own home or care homes within Renfrewshire. You will provide leadership for junior staff as delegated by supervisor.
All aspects of occupational therapy care within the areas of Medical, Orthopaedics/Surgical, Medicine for the Elderly, Psychiatry for the Elderly, community and care homes. You will work autonomously in out of hours within areas such as Accident & Emergency. You will be responsible to the Team Leader and Lead Occupational Therapist. You will supervise the clinical workload, and provide day to day management of rehabilitation assistants and students. It is essential that you have a Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy and that you are currently registered with the HCPC. The shift pattern for this post is 5 days per week.
