LW118194 - Quality Improvement Nurse - Fluid Management

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to further develop existing skills and knowledge in Fluid Management.  We would like to hear from you if you have post-registration experience in clinical nursing practice in medical, surgical and / or critical care settings. You will also be required to have an understanding of the principles of fluid management and renal physiology. Audit and data collection, training and teaching experience is required for this post as well as previous experience and evidence of quality improvement projects. The post holder will need to have the ability to work independently and as a team player across the multi-disciplinary team and have a professional demeanour with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including computer skills and be able to analyse data. 

The successful post holder will join the small existing team to continue to embed the Scottish Government initiative of a standardised National Intravenous Fluid Management Guideline.  The successful candidate will work across NHS Grampian to support and continue embeding this change. They may also be required to attend national meetings, therefore might be required to travel.

Full and part time hours will be considered, including the opportunity to work within school hours or along another part time post. Agreement with current manager to be released for secondment must be sought prior to application, as per NHSG Secondment Policy.
