Job Advert

This is an opportunity to join and shape a team within CAMHS that will respond to all aspects of unscheduled care. This can often be those most mentally unwell or be at high risk to themselves or others.

You will require experience and skills in assessing the mental health of children and young people in challenging circumstances along with an established knowledge and understanding of assessing risk. Knowledge of appropriate evidence based therapeutic intervention will be essential for this role.
You must be a Registered Mental Health Nurse and have a current registration with the NMC to be considered. This can be a very challenging but rewarding area to work in therefore we welcome any discussion prior to applying if you have any questions.

You will be based at The Willows, Dumfries, in the beautifully landscaped grounds of the former Crichton Hospital. The building also houses all the community children’s health services providing excellent opportunities to network.

Dumfries and Galloway is a stunning part of Scotland to live and work in. It can be as remote or as busy as you want it to be and there are road and rail routes to the bigger cities on both sides of the border.
