Applications are invited for enthusiastic, reliable, and flexible individuals for the posts of Medical Receptionists in this busy medical practice.

Ideally we are looking for candidates with relevant experience in a GP Practice and good overall IT skills and knowledge of MS suite of programs. A working knowledge of GP computer software programmes (EMIS and Docman) would be beneficial, though not essential, as full training will be given. The post requires covering a range of duties within a friendly, busy, hardworking Practice. These are varied and challenging positions that requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a committed team to deliver a high standard of work and ensure the smooth running of the Practice. Good communication skills with patients and colleagues at all levels, an excellent telephone manner and the ability to multitask and prioritise workload are essential. 

Reception duties include the manning and effective operation of the front office and reception desk, producing prescriptions, answering the phone, making appointments, logging requests for home visits and resolving patient’s queries as far as possible. 

Salary: £19,006 - £19,788 per annum pro rata depending on experience - (£9.72 - £10.12 hourly rate). Payrise pending.

Post One:  25 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8am-1pm
Post Two: 15 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 3pm-6pm
