A new and exciting opportunity has arisen within the recently launched Perinatal Mental Health service working across all three Partnership areas (East, south & North Ayrshire).
This role will involve contributing to the initial development and ongoing development of the Perinatal Mental Health Team ensuring it provides evidence based effective care and is responsive to identified needs.
Youwill have responsibility for the case management of a perinatal mental health case-load for service users with, sometimes complex, mental health and social care needs whilst co-ordinating and supervising the delivery of mental health interventions by junior nursing colleagues.
You will deliver a range of maternal mental health interventions, including psychological interventions, whilst promoting and enhancing, parent-infant relationship.
The role will involve data collection and validation which will be central to the ongoing review of the service and this will contribute to service enhancements within the Perinatal Mental Health Team.
You will have a registered mental health nursing qualification with the NMC and have experience in mental health assessment and care planning with an interest in working with individuals with perinatal mental health difficulties.
Advanced communication skills, well developed risk assessment skills and excellent organisational skills are essential together with evidence of continued professional development.
Car owner/driver is essential.
Hours: working 37.5 hours per week, over 5 days, there is the potential for weekend working in the future.
