CAMHS (Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service) and the Community Eating Disorder in Ayrshire and Arran are re-designing their response to supporting young people, service users and their families/carers in a more dynamic way and we have a range of opportunities available that might offer the perfect next step for your career.

Specialist CAMHS Community Team:
Assessment, care and treatment of children and young people experiencing serious mental health problems

CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Team:
Assess and support children and young people with complex neurodevelopmental difficulties, who require a multi-agency assessment to gain a better understanding of their strengths and needs.

CAMHS Unscheduled Assessment Intensive Treatment (CUAIT):
Respond to the immediate mental health needs of young people offering short term help, either at home or in the community for up to 21 days.

Community Eating Disorder Service:
An all age service from age 11 onwards and see people with complex eating disorders in the community and in clinic.

We have some permanent posts across a range of disciplines and grades and are clear about the need to establish integrated services that ensure that children, young people and families receive the right support, at the right time and in a way that best meets their needs.

You are required to be professionally registered, to have a good working knowledge of current national policy and practice experience relevant to paediatrics and the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people.  For the neurodevelopmental posts you should have experience of working with children and young people with emotional, behavioural, social and mental health difficulties and knowledge of neurodevelopmental assessment and diagnostic procedures.
