An opportunity has arisen in the Estates Department for an enthusiastic person to join the team of Maintenance Staff within the NHS Lothian Primary and Community Division.
Based initially at the East Lothian Community Hospital, Haddington operating throughout the Division premises, the successful candidate will be required to work in a maintenance team responsible to the Maintenance Supervisor to aid the efficient running to the Estates Department.
The Main Duties will incorporate the diagnosis and repair of faults on electrical equipment and plant, understanding the working electrical systems within the Division Buildings and to manufacture, assemble and install new work. Any specialist skills such as Portable Appliance Testing, would be advantageous.
Applicants should be able to work without supervision, on their own initiative and hold a current driving licence.
As well as your starting salary there is a recruitment and retention premium £3,309 (pro rata) per annum which has been awarded to craftsman posts. This is a temporary agreement and will be reviewed again in the near future.
